Reset toner

Brother MFC-L2700DW Toner Counter Reset

Make sure your printer is on

1. Press the COPY button (Nothing will work if FAX or SCAN are selected)
2. Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps.
3. Display should read “Front Cover open”.
4. Hold the 'OK' button down for a few seconds.

Display should read “Replace Drum”.
DO NOT follow prompts on screen.

5. Type in * 0 0 (Star Zero Zero) on the keypad.
6. Close the cover. Your toner is now reset.

Make sure your printer is on

  1. Press the COPY button (Nothing will work if FAX or SCAN are selected)

  2. Open front cover of printer (to reveal the cartridge mechanism) and “Front Door Open” will flash on the display.

  3. Next, press STOP/EXIT and CLEAR at the SAME TIME (one quick press)

  4. Immediately after, press CLEAR once again.

  5. A menu called RESET MENU will appear.

  6. Arrow down to find your toner type
    TNR-STD – use this selection if your toner is standard yield tn-730
    TNR-HC – use this selection if your toner is high yield tn-760

  7. Once you select the type of toner, PRESS OK

  8. Press the UP Arrow to confirm reset

  9. The Display should say “Accepted”

  10. Close the front cover
