How to re-boot a modem/router if you don't have internet

How to re-boot a modem/router if you don't have internet

Start by identifying your equipment-

Your modem should have a direct connection coming from the wall.

Your  router and or PC should be connected to this device.

Unplug the power cable for the modem and router if necessary from the wall power socket for 3 minutes.

It is important you wait for 3 minutes in order for the  unit to power down and for the networking to re-configure.

After 3 minutes you can plug the modem back into the power and after 3 minutes you can plug your router back into the power if you also unplugged that.

After 3 minutes of the modem and or router being plugged in you should start seeing all of the icons on the devices light up.

You can now test your network again.
