Adjusting time on a chromebook

Set the date and time

Your Chromebook should automatically set the time when you're connected to the web.

If it does not, follow these steps.

To change your date and time preferences:

  1. Sign in to your Chromebook.
  2. At the bottom right, select the time.
  3. Select Settings .
  4. Scroll down and select Advanced.
  5. In the "Date and time" section:
    • To manually choose your time zone, select Time zone  and then Choose from list  and then Down arrow .
    • To switch to a 24-hour clock, turn on Use 24-hour clock.
    • Optional: For higher accuracy or if you use a virtual private network, you can let your Chromebook use Wi-Fi or data networks to find your location. Select Time zone  and then Set automatically and then Down arrow  and then Use Wi-Fi or mobile networks to determine location.
